I’m a graduate of Haverford College with a B.A. in history. I’ve spent the past 20-plus years working as a writer and editor for print and online publications. After spending a summer as an editorial intern at Running Times (since absorbed by Runner’s World. RIP.) I returned to the magazine after graduating, first as an associate editor. Three years as communications manager for the Boston Athletic Association, organizer of the Boston Marathon, followed. Then almost 10 years as senior editor for AMC Outdoors. Now a senior writer/editor at Boston University, I work on many of the school’s alumni publications. My stories and magazines have received multiple EXCEL and CASE awards for excellence in organization and university publications. You can reach me at mchalu4 [@] gmail [dot] com.
